Ege \u00dcniversitesi N\u00fckleer Bilimler Enstit\u00fcs\u00fc \u00f6\u011fretim \u00fcyesi Prof. Dr. S\u00fcleyman \u0130nan\u2019\u0131n y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fcc\u00fcl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve T\u00fcrkiye Enerji, N\u00fckleer ve Maden Ara\u015ft\u0131rma Kurumu (TENMAK) taraf\u0131ndan desteklenen projede, i\u00e7 jelle\u015fme (sol-jel) y\u00f6ntemi kullan\u0131larak uranyum ve uranyum-toryum kar\u0131\u015f\u0131k oksit yak\u0131t peletlerinin geli\u015ftirilmesi hedefleniyor.<\/p>\n

Bu teknoloji, yak\u0131t\u0131n verimlili\u011fini ve dayan\u0131kl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 art\u0131rarak, n\u00fckleer yak\u0131t \u00fcretiminde \u00f6nemli bir yenilik sunacak. T\u00fcrkiye\u2019nin yerli kaynaklar\u0131ndan olan toryumun n\u00fckleer yak\u0131tta alternatif veya tamamlay\u0131c\u0131 olarak kullan\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n m\u00fcmk\u00fcn oldu\u011funa dikkat \u00e7eken Prof. Dr. \u0130nan,\u00a0 \u201cBildi\u011finiz gibi, Akkuyu N\u00fckleer G\u00fc\u00e7 Santrali\u2019nde, d\u00fcnyadaki bir\u00e7ok n\u00fckleer santralde oldu\u011fu gibi y\u00fczde 3,5-5,0 oran\u0131nda zenginle\u015ftirilmi\u015f uranyum dioksit (UO2) peletleri yak\u0131t olarak kullan\u0131lacak.
