Proje ile denizsel ekosistemlerde hayati bir rol \u00fcstlenen, denizlerdeki ekolojik dengede b\u00fcy\u00fck \u00f6neme sahip ancak kamuoyunda pek bilinmeyen tunikatlar (tulumlular) mercek alt\u0131na al\u0131n\u0131yor.<\/p>\n

Dr. Ertan Da\u011fl\u0131, \u201cTunikatlar, omurgal\u0131larla omurgas\u0131zlar aras\u0131nda evrimsel bir k\u00f6pr\u00fc olu\u015fturan, denizlerde ya\u015fayan ilgin\u00e7 canl\u0131lard\u0131r. Filtreleme yoluyla beslenen bu organizmalar, sadece kendi ya\u015famlar\u0131n\u0131 s\u00fcrd\u00fcrmekle kalm\u0131yor; ayn\u0131 zamanda \u00e7evrelerini de\u011fi\u015ftirerek di\u011fer deniz canl\u0131lar\u0131na da ya\u015fam alan\u0131 sunuyor. Proje kapsam\u0131nda, bu canl\u0131lar\u0131n \u0130zmir K\u00f6rfezi\u2019ndeki yay\u0131l\u0131m\u0131, biyolojik \u00f6zellikleri ve ekosistemdeki rolleri \u00fczerine kapsaml\u0131 bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fcl\u00fcyor. Tunikatlar, deniz taban\u0131nda kayal\u0131k y\u00fczeylere tutunarak ya da serbest y\u00fczen formlarda ya\u015fayabiliyor. Suyu s\u00fczerek beslenmeleri, deniz suyunun temizlenmesine katk\u0131 sa\u011flarken; yaratt\u0131klar\u0131 mikrohabitatlar sayesinde bir\u00e7ok ba\u015fka canl\u0131ya da bar\u0131nma alan\u0131 olu\u015fturuyorlar\u201d dedi.<\/p>\n
