Dr. Yusuf Bayrakc\u0131\u2019n\u0131n y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fcc\u00fcl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u201c\u0130stilac\u0131 Yabanc\u0131 K\u0131rm\u0131z\u0131 Yanakl\u0131 Su Kaplumba\u011fas\u0131n\u0131n Baz\u0131 Metropollerdeki Yerle\u015fik Pop\u00fclasyonlar\u0131n\u0131n Durumu ve Yerli Tatl\u0131su Kaplumba\u011falar\u0131 \u00dczerindeki Etkileri\u201d ba\u015fl\u0131kl\u0131 projesi T\u00dcB\u0130TAK-1001 kapsam\u0131nda desteklenmeye uygun bulundu.<\/p>\n

Proje ekibini makam\u0131nda a\u011f\u0131rlayarak tebrik eden Ege \u00dcniversitesi Rekt\u00f6r\u00fc Prof. Dr. Necdet Budak, \u201cBilimsel \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar, do\u011fan\u0131n dengesini anlamak ve olas\u0131 tehditlerle m\u00fccadele etmek i\u00e7in en temel ara\u00e7lardan biridir. Bu kapsamda Do\u00e7. Dr. Yusuf Bayrakc\u0131 hocam\u0131z\u0131n y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fcc\u00fcl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 proje T\u00dcB\u0130TAK taraf\u0131ndan desteklenmeye uygun bulundu. De\u011ferli akademisyenimizi bu \u00f6nemli ara\u015ft\u0131rma i\u00e7in kutluyorum. \u0130stilac\u0131 yabanc\u0131 t\u00fcrlerin, \u00f6zellikle k\u0131rm\u0131z\u0131 yanakl\u0131 su kaplumba\u011fas\u0131 gibi t\u00fcrlerin, yerli ekosistemler \u00fczerinde yaratt\u0131\u011f\u0131 bask\u0131lar \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck.\u00a0Proje, yaln\u0131zca T\u00fcrkiye’deki metropollerdeki yerle\u015fik pop\u00fclasyonlar\u0131 incelemekle kalm\u0131yor, ayn\u0131 zamanda yerli tatl\u0131su kaplumba\u011falar\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n korunmas\u0131na y\u00f6nelik kritik veriler sunarak biyolojik \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fimizin korunmas\u0131na katk\u0131 sa\u011fl\u0131yor. Bilimsel a\u00e7\u0131dan bu ara\u015ft\u0131rma, ekosistemlerin korunmas\u0131 ve istilac\u0131 t\u00fcrlerle m\u00fccadele noktas\u0131nda \u00f6nemli bir kilometre ta\u015f\u0131 olaca\u011f\u0131na inan\u0131yorum\u201d diye konu\u015ftu.<\/p>\n

Projenin amac\u0131 hakk\u0131nda a\u00e7\u0131klamalarda bulunan Ege \u00dcniversitesi Fen Fak\u00fcltesi Biyoloji B\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc Zooloji Anabilim Dal\u0131 \u00f6\u011fretim \u00fcyesi Do\u00e7. Dr. Yusuf Bayrakc\u0131 ise \u201cBu proje, istilac\u0131 yabanc\u0131 k\u0131rm\u0131z\u0131 yanakl\u0131 su kaplumba\u011fas\u0131 (Trachemys scripta elegans) pop\u00fclasyonlar\u0131n\u0131n T\u00fcrkiye\u2019deki baz\u0131 metropollerdeki mevcut durumunu incelemeyi ama\u00e7lamaktad\u0131r. Son y\u0131llarda h\u0131zla yay\u0131lmaya ba\u015flayan bu t\u00fcr, yerli tatl\u0131su kaplumba\u011falar\u0131yla rekabet ederek pop\u00fclasyonlar\u0131n\u0131 tehdit etmektedir. Projemizin temel hedefi, bu istilac\u0131 t\u00fcr\u00fcn yerle\u015fik pop\u00fclasyonlar\u0131n\u0131n durumunu ve yabanc\u0131 istilac\u0131 t\u00fcr\u00fcn \u00fclkemiz \u00e7evresel \u015fartlar\u0131na ne derece uyum sa\u011flad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 detayl\u0131 bir \u015fekilde analiz etmek ve bu t\u00fcr\u00fcn yerli kaplumba\u011fa t\u00fcrleri \u00fczerindeki ekolojik etkilerini ortaya koymakt\u0131r. Proje, k\u0131rm\u0131z\u0131 yanakl\u0131 su kaplumba\u011fas\u0131 ile yerli t\u00fcrler aras\u0131ndaki etkile\u015fimleri daha iyi anlamam\u0131za olanak tan\u0131yacakt\u0131r. Elde edilecek bulgular, hem yerli tatl\u0131su kaplumba\u011falar\u0131n\u0131n korunmas\u0131na y\u00f6nelik stratejilerin geli\u015ftirilmesine yard\u0131mc\u0131 olacak hem de istilac\u0131 t\u00fcrlerle m\u00fccadelede etkili y\u00f6netim ve kontrol y\u00f6ntemlerinin belirlenmesine katk\u0131 sa\u011flayacakt\u0131r. Ayr\u0131ca, bu ara\u015ft\u0131rma sayesinde yerel ekosistemlerde biyolojik \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fi korumak ad\u0131na at\u0131lacak ad\u0131mlar\u0131n bilimsel temellere dayand\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flayarak, \u00e7evresel s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirli\u011fe katk\u0131da bulunmay\u0131 ama\u00e7l\u0131yoruz\u201d diye konu\u015ftu.<\/p>\n

Ayr\u0131ca, bu kaplumba\u011falar\u0131n yerli t\u00fcrlerin \u00fcreme, beslenme ve habitat kullan\u0131m\u0131na olan olumsuz etkileri detayland\u0131r\u0131lacak. Proje, bu istilac\u0131 t\u00fcr\u00fcn kontrol alt\u0131na al\u0131nmas\u0131 i\u00e7in al\u0131nabilecek \u00f6nlemleri ve y\u00f6netim stratejilerini de \u00f6nererek Tar\u0131m ve Orman Bakanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 Do\u011fa Koruma ve Milli Parklar Genel M\u00fcd\u00fcrl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc ile koordineli olarak ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilen \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalarla yerli t\u00fcrler \u00fczerinde olan etkiyi en aza indirecektir\u201d dedi.<\/p>\n
