Konu\u015fmas\u0131nda Akdeniz\u2019in \u00e7e\u015fitli istilac\u0131 t\u00fcrler taraf\u0131ndan etkilendi\u011fini belirten Prof. Dr. Edouard Bard, \u201cAkdeniz, \u00f6zellikle Do\u011fu Havzas\u0131, ba\u015fta Lesepsiyen t\u00fcrler ve gemi ta\u015f\u0131mac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131yla gelen organizmalar olmak \u00fczere yabanc\u0131 t\u00fcrlerin istilas\u0131ndan etkilenmektedir. K\u00fcresel \u0131s\u0131nma ve okyanus asitlenmesi de, besin ve alan i\u00e7in rekabet eden deniz canl\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131 etkilemektedir. Akdeniz’de tropikalle\u015fme, insan kaynakl\u0131 etkilerin deniz ekosistemleri \u00fczerindeki etkilerini de\u011ferlendirme ve anlama zorluklar\u0131na eklenmektedir. Biyolojik pop\u00fclasyonlarda yak\u0131n d\u00f6nemde meydana gelen ve halen devam eden de\u011fi\u015fikliklerin ger\u00e7ek zamanl\u0131 izlenmesiyle birlikte, eski d\u00f6nemlerde ya\u015fanan h\u0131zl\u0131 ve yo\u011fun paleoklimatik de\u011fi\u015fimlerin hareketli ve hareketsiz t\u00fcrlerin geni\u015f \u00e7apta g\u00f6\u00e7lere yol a\u00e7t\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 da g\u00f6z \u00f6n\u00fcnde bulundurmak m\u00fcmk\u00fcnd\u00fcr. Paleoklimatik ba\u011flamda, modern d\u00f6neme k\u0131yasla daha s\u0131cak veya daha so\u011fuk olan eski d\u00f6nemlerde Akdeniz’de g\u00f6r\u00fclen baz\u0131 paleo-istilac\u0131 t\u00fcrlerin \u00f6rnekleri tan\u0131mlanacakt\u0131r.
