Tuz G\u00f6l\u00fc\u2019nde yeti\u015fen Schrenkiella parvula isimli halofit bitkinin uzay ortam\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131 verdi\u011fi fizyolojik ve molek\u00fcler tepkilerin ara\u015ft\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 deney kapsam\u0131nda \u00fcniversiteye ula\u015fan materyaller, Egeli bilim insanlar\u0131 taraf\u0131ndan incelenecek. Astronotumuz Alper Gezaravc\u0131 21 g\u00fcn boyunca uzayda kald\u0131 ve orada T\u00dcB\u0130TAK onayl\u0131 13 farkl\u0131 deney ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirdi. Y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fcc\u00fcl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc Ege \u00dcniversitesi Fen Fak\u00fcltesi Biyoloji B\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc Do\u00e7. Dr. Rengin \u00d6zg\u00fcr Uzilday\u2019\u0131n yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131, Do\u00e7. Dr. Bar\u0131\u015f Uzilday ve Prof. Dr. \u0130smail T\u00fcrkan\u2019\u0131n da ara\u015ft\u0131rma ekibinde yer ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u2018Ekstrem Halofit olan Schrenkiella parvula\u2019n\u0131n Tuz Stresine Verdi\u011fi Yan\u0131tlar\u0131n Uzay Ortam\u0131nda Ara\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131- EXTREMOPHYTE\u2019 deneyi, Gezeravc\u0131\u2019n\u0131n uzaydaki ilk deneyi oldu. Uzayda tar\u0131m\u0131n yap\u0131labilece\u011fine dair ilk deney oldu. T\u00fcm d\u00fcnyan\u0131n g\u00f6z\u00fc \u00fcniversitemizde ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilen bu deneylerin sonucunda olacak. Yerk\u00fcrenin tar\u0131msal alanlar\u0131 s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131. \u0130nsan n\u00fcfusu art\u0131yor. K\u00fcresel \u0131s\u0131nma \u00e7ok fazla. \u00c7evre kirlili\u011fi t\u00fcm d\u00fcnyan\u0131n g\u00fcndeminde. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla yeni ke\u015fiflere ihtiya\u00e7 var. Bu ke\u015fiflerin aras\u0131nda Mars ve Ay da yer al\u0131yor. Bunlar gelecekte t\u00fcm insanl\u0131\u011f\u0131n g\u00fcndeminde olacak. Ege \u00dcniversitesi Biyoloji B\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcne gelen uzayda denenmi\u015f materyaller \u00f6\u011fretim \u00fcyelerimiz taraf\u0131ndan takip edilecek. Uzayda tar\u0131m\u0131n ba\u015flang\u0131c\u0131 ad\u0131na da \u00f6nem ta\u015f\u0131yan deney sonu\u00e7lar\u0131, \u00fcniversitemizce kamuoyuyla payla\u015f\u0131lacak. \u0130lklerin \u00fcniversitesi olan \u00dcniversitemiz\u00a0 bir ilke daha imza atman\u0131n bahtiyarl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ya\u015f\u0131yor. B\u00f6ylelikle T\u00fcrkiye\u2019 de ilk uzay tar\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 da ba\u015flatm\u0131\u015f olduk. Yeti\u015fen \u00f6neklerimiz, Astronotumuz Alper Gezeravc\u0131 taraf\u0131ndan hasat edildikten sonra bir fiksatif sol\u00fcsyonun i\u00e7ine yerle\u015ftirildi. O sol\u00fcsyon i\u00e7erisinde yer \u00e7ekimsiz ortam ko\u015fullar\u0131n\u0131 tamamen sabitledik. Daha sonra Uluslararas\u0131 Uzay \u0130stasyonu\u2019nda eksi 80 derecede depoland\u0131 ve geldi\u011fi kaps\u00fclde yine ayn\u0131 ko\u015fullarda D\u00fcnya\u2019ya getirildi. En sonunda da Axiom-Space ara\u00e7l\u0131\u011f\u0131 ile bizlere kargo yoluyla ula\u015ft\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131. Alper Gezeravc\u0131\u2019ya deneyimizin tamamlanma s\u00fcrecinde g\u00f6sterdi\u011fi emek i\u00e7in te\u015fekk\u00fcr ediyoruz\u201d dedi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>\u201cTarihi bir ana tan\u0131kl\u0131k ediyoruz\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tarihi bir ana tan\u0131kl\u0131k ettiklerini belirten Do\u00e7. Dr. Bar\u0131\u015f Uzilday, \u201cTarihi bir ana tan\u0131kl\u0131k etti\u011fimiz i\u00e7in \u00e7ok heyecanl\u0131y\u0131z. \u00dclkemizin uzayda yeti\u015ftirdi\u011fi ilk bitkinin \u00f6rnekleri kuru buz i\u00e7erisinde bize ula\u015ft\u0131. Ara\u015ft\u0131rmam\u0131z\u0131n pek \u00e7ok farkl\u0131 y\u00f6n\u00fc var. \u0130lk olarak halofit bir bitkinin kullan\u0131lmas\u0131 \u00f6nemli. Bu bitki ayn\u0131 zamanda a\u011f\u0131r metal ve d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck s\u0131cakl\u0131k dereceleri gibi farkl\u0131 streslere tolerans g\u00f6steriyor. Bitkimiz, ileride Ay veya Mars\u2019ta tar\u0131m yap\u0131lmas\u0131na ve oradaki topra\u011f\u0131n \u0131slah edilmesine \u00f6nc\u00fcl\u00fck edecek. Bundan sonraki a\u015famada bitkimizin \u00f6ncelikle RNA\u2019lar\u0131n\u0131 izole edece\u011fiz. Yer\u00e7ekimsiz ortamda ve tuz ko\u015fulunda hangi genlerin ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 inceleyece\u011fiz. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc bu ko\u015fullara bitkilerin adapte olmalar\u0131 i\u00e7in farkl\u0131 mekanizmalar var. Bu mekanizmalardan hangilerinin aktifle\u015fti\u011fini anlayabilirsek, ileride bunu tar\u0131m bitkilerine aktarma olas\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z da olacak.
