Proje ekibini makam\u0131nda a\u011f\u0131rlayarak tebrik eden E\u00dc Rekt\u00f6r\u00fc Prof. Dr. Necdet Budak, \u201c N\u00fckleer Bilimler Enstit\u00fcm\u00fcz ve Su \u00dcr\u00fcnleri Fak\u00fcltemiz \u00f6\u011fretim \u00fcyeleri i\u015f birli\u011finde deniz organizmalar\u0131n\u0131n mikroplastik al\u0131m\u0131na y\u00f6nelik geli\u015ftirdikleri proje T\u00dcB\u0130TAK\u2019tan destek ald\u0131. Deniz canl\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131n mikroplastik al\u0131m\u0131na \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcm \u00f6nerisi sunan projeleri i\u00e7in hocalar\u0131m\u0131za tebrik ediyor, \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131nda ba\u015far\u0131lar diliyorum\u201d dedi. Okyanus ve denizlerde bulunan toplam plastik miktar\u0131n\u0131n on milyon tona ula\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ifade eden \u00d6\u011fr. G\u00f6r. Dr. Michael Duncan Yoho, \u201cPlastik at\u0131k miktar\u0131n\u0131n 2050 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar \u00fc\u00e7 kat\u0131na ula\u015faca\u011f\u0131 \u00f6ng\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcyor. Plastik at\u0131klar okyanus ve denizlerde par\u00e7alanarak mikro boyutlara kadar k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fclmektedirler. Mikroplastik miktar\u0131ndaki bu art\u0131\u015f, k\u00fcresel g\u0131da kaynaklar\u0131na \u00f6nemli bir tehdit olu\u015fturmaktad\u0131r. \u00d6rne\u011fin, mikroplastiklerin istiridye ve bal\u0131klarda \u00fcreme bozuklu\u011funa, kilo al\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n azalmas\u0131na ve karaci\u011fer hastal\u0131klar\u0131na yol a\u00e7\u0131yor. Sardalya, hamsi, midye gibi b\u00fcy\u00fck miktarda suyu s\u00fczerek beslenen organizmalar, daha y\u00fcksek oranlarda mikroplasti\u011fi b\u00fcnyelerine almaktad\u0131r. Bu durum \u00f6zellikle deniz \u00fcr\u00fcnleri t\u00fcketiminin y\u00fczde 38&#8217;inin sardalya ve hamsiden olu\u015ftu\u011fu T\u00fcrkiye i\u00e7in \u00f6nemlidir. Mikroplasti\u011fin gelecekteki T\u00fcrkiye ve d\u00fcnya deniz canl\u0131lar\u0131 \u00fczerindeki etkisini tahmin etmek i\u00e7in ger\u00e7ek\u00e7i ve titiz mikroplastik tutulumu ve biyotoksisite \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131na ihtiya\u00e7 duyulmaktad\u0131r\u201d dedi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u201cY\u00fcksek mikroplastik al\u0131mlar\u0131 deniz canl\u0131lar\u0131nda bo\u011fulmaya neden oluyor\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proje hakk\u0131nda detayl\u0131 bilgi veren \u00d6\u011fr. G\u00f6r. Dr. Yoho, \u201cProjeye ba\u015flamadan \u00f6nce ilgili laboratuvar \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131ndaki temel sorun, deneylerde kullan\u0131lan mikroplastik miktar\u0131n\u0131n ger\u00e7ek\u00e7i olmamas\u0131d\u0131r. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar mikroplastiklere maruz kalan deniz organizmalar\u0131n\u0131 incelemektedir. Karaci\u011fer, mide ve di\u011fer organlardaki mikroplastiklerin miktar\u0131 belirlenmektedir. G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde, bu mikroplastiklerin analizi i\u00e7in floresan boyalar kullan\u0131lmaktad\u0131r. Ancak floresan i\u015faretleme, potansiyel s\u0131z\u0131nt\u0131, kontaminasyon ve d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck hassasiyet nedeniyle ele\u015ftirilmektedir. Bu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck hassasiyet, do\u011fadakinden 10 bin kat veya daha y\u00fcksek mikroplastik dozlar\u0131na yol a\u00e7maktad\u0131r. Yemleme s\u0131ras\u0131nda y\u00fcksek mikroplastik konsantrasyonlar\u0131 deniz canl\u0131lar\u0131nda \u00f6ks\u00fcr\u00fc\u011fe, bo\u011fulmaya ve i\u015ftah\u0131n azalmas\u0131na neden olmaktad\u0131r. Bu ger\u00e7ek\u00e7i olmayan davran\u0131\u015f ve y\u00fcksek dozlar, tarafl\u0131 sonu\u00e7lara ve ger\u00e7ek\u00e7i olmayan etkilere yol a\u00e7maktad\u0131r. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada, mikroplastik al\u0131m\u0131 ve biyotoksisite \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131nda kullan\u0131lan mikroplastik miktar\u0131n\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fck \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde azaltmak i\u00e7in, n\u00fckleer t\u0131pta yayg\u0131n olarak kullan\u0131lan son derece hassas radyoi\u015faretleme y\u00f6ntemi kullan\u0131lacak. \u00a0Bu y\u00f6ntemin avantajlar\u0131, radyasyon \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcmlerinde mevcut olan art ortam\u0131n d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck olmas\u0131, y\u00fcksek enerjili sinyallerin uzun menzili ve daha iyi dedekt\u00f6rler sayesinde elde edilen y\u00fcksek verim olarak say\u0131labilir. Bu geli\u015ftirilmi\u015f hassasiyet, mikroplastik al\u0131m\u0131 ve biyotoksisite \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131nda mikroplastiklerin ciddi oranda azalt\u0131lmas\u0131na olanak tan\u0131yacak\u201d dedi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u0130lk kez radyoi\u015faretleme y\u00f6ntemi kullan\u0131lacak<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deniz organizmalar\u0131n\u0131n mikroplastik al\u0131m\u0131na ili\u015fkin radyoi\u015faretleme \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131n kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 ilk uygulama oldu\u011funu ifade eden \u00d6\u011fr. G\u00f6r. Dr.\u00a0 Yoho, \u201cMikroplastikler ile n\u00fckleer t\u0131pta kullan\u0131lan tekniklerin birle\u015fimi, ger\u00e7ek\u00e7i olmayan deney ko\u015fullar\u0131 sorununa y\u00f6nelik yeni bir \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcm \u00f6nerisi olacak. Bu y\u00f6ntem, deniz organizmalar\u0131n\u0131n mikroplastik al\u0131m\u0131na ili\u015fkin radyoi\u015faretleme \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131n kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 ilk uygulama olacak. Ayr\u0131ca T\u00fcrkiye\u2019deki n\u00fckleer t\u0131p uzmanl\u0131k ve altyap\u0131s\u0131, mikroplastik ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar\u0131n\u0131 bir sonraki a\u015famaya ta\u015f\u0131yacak m\u00fckemmel bir konumdad\u0131r. Proje kapsam\u0131nda, Ege Denizi&#8217;nden yakalanan sardalya bal\u0131klar\u0131, Urla&#8217;daki canl\u0131 bal\u0131k ya\u015fatma tesisindeki ortama al\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lacak. Daha sonra, sardalyalar N\u00fckleer Bilimler Enstit\u00fcs\u00fc&#8217;ndeki akvaryumlara nakledilecek. Pozitron emisyon tomografisi (PET) gibi modern n\u00fckleer t\u0131p teknikleri daha sonra mikroplastiklerin bal\u0131klardaki etkilerini ve ta\u015f\u0131nmas\u0131n\u0131 ara\u015ft\u0131racak. Bu yeni teknikler, bilim insanlar\u0131n\u0131n artan mikroplastik at\u0131k d\u00fczeylerinin T\u00fcrkiye ve k\u00fcresel deniz \u00fcr\u00fcnleri tedariki \u00fczerindeki etkilerini tahmin etmelerine olanak tan\u0131yacak\u201d dedi. \u0130\u015f birlikli bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma oldu\u011funu s\u00f6yleyen \u00d6\u011fr.
