Proje ekibini makam\u0131nda a\u011f\u0131rlayan Ege \u00dcniversitesi Rekt\u00f6r\u00fc Prof. Dr. Necdet Budak, \u201cDe\u011ferli akademisyenlerimiz toplum sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131na ve bilime katk\u0131 sa\u011flayan projeler \u00fcretmeye devam ediyor. Prof. Dr.\u00a0\u0130hsan Ya\u015fa\u00a0hocam\u0131z ve ekibi, son derece \u00f6nemli bir k\u00fcresel sa\u011fl\u0131k sorunu olan antimikrobiyal dirence\u00a0y\u00f6nelik alternatif bir yakla\u015f\u0131m \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131 y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fcyor. T\u00dcSEB taraf\u0131ndan desteklenmeye uygun bulunan projeleri i\u00e7in\u00a0Prof. Dr. \u0130hsan Ya\u015fa hocam\u0131z\u0131 ve ekibini tebrik ediyor, \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131nda ba\u015far\u0131lar diliyorum\u201d dedi.<\/p>\n
Proje hakk\u0131nda bilgi veren Prof. Dr. Ya\u015fa, \u201cG\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde hastal\u0131klarla m\u00fccadelede en etkin silahlar\u0131m\u0131z olan antibiyotiklere kar\u015f\u0131 olu\u015fan ve h\u0131zla geli\u015fen antimikrobiyal diren\u00e7, insanlar, hayvanlar ve \u00e7evresel fakt\u00f6rlerle ba\u011flant\u0131l\u0131 k\u00fcresel bir sa\u011fl\u0131k sorunu olarak kar\u015f\u0131m\u0131za \u00e7\u0131k\u0131yor. Kulland\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z antibiyotiklerin etkisiz hale gelmesi durumunda nas\u0131l bir tedavi uygulan\u0131laca\u011f\u0131 kayg\u0131s\u0131 sa\u011fl\u0131k ba\u015fta olmak \u00fczere t\u00fcm sekt\u00f6rlerde giderek art\u0131yor. Antimikrobiyal diren\u00e7 sorunu temelinde, insan-hayvan-\u00e7evre ara y\u00fcz\u00fcndeki sa\u011fl\u0131k tehditlerinin \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcm\u00fcn\u00fcn ancak multidisipliner \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar ile m\u00fcmk\u00fcn olabilece\u011fi \u00e7ok a\u015fikard\u0131r. Tek Sa\u011fl\u0131k stratejisi; direncin ortaya \u00e7\u0131k\u0131\u015f\u0131, \u00e7oklu-ila\u00e7 diren\u00e7li patojenlerin bula\u015fma dinamiklerinin anla\u015f\u0131lmas\u0131 ve bunlara y\u00f6nelik \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcmler geli\u015ftirilmesini sa\u011flayacak yeg\u00e2ne yakla\u015f\u0131md\u0131r\u201d dedi.<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. Ya\u015fa, \u201cBakteriler, basit yap\u0131l\u0131 canl\u0131lar olmas\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131n \u00fcrettikleri kimyasal maddeler arac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 ile bir ortamdaki toplam say\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131 alg\u0131layabilir ve hastal\u0131k yapma fonksiyonlar\u0131n\u0131 d\u00fczenleyebilirler. Bakterilerde vir\u00fclans fakt\u00f6rlerinin d\u00fczenlenmesi olduk\u00e7a karma\u015f\u0131k bir metabolik s\u00fcre\u00e7tir ve bu s\u00fcre\u00e7 her bir grup\/t\u00fcre \u00f6zg\u00fc olarak Quorum Sensing (QS) mekanizmalar\u0131 taraf\u0131ndan d\u00fczenlenmektedir. Antimikrobiyal diren\u00e7 ile m\u00fccadelede QS sisteminin d\u00fczenlenmesinin hedeflendi\u011fi yakla\u015f\u0131mlar ba\u015far\u0131 potansiyeli en y\u00fcksek stratejilerden biridir. Bu ama\u00e7la projemizde, QS mekanizmas\u0131 en iyi ayd\u0131nlat\u0131lm\u0131\u015f t\u00fcrlerden birisi olan Vibrio harveyi modelinde bakteriyel QS mekanizmas\u0131n\u0131 hedefleyen bir anti-vir\u00fclans stratejisi ile baz\u0131 vir\u00fclans \u00f6zelliklerinin kontrol alt\u0131na al\u0131nmas\u0131n\u0131 hedefliyoruz. Bu yakla\u015f\u0131m\u0131n, \u00a0insan ve hayvan sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u00fczerine etkili di\u011fer bir\u00e7ok Gram negatif bakterinin patojenitesinin kontrol\u00fcnde uygulanabilece\u011fini umuyor ve ayn\u0131 y\u00f6ntemle benzer \u00fcr\u00fcnlerin h\u0131zl\u0131ca geli\u015ftirilebilece\u011fine inan\u0131yoruz\u201d diye konu\u015ftu.<\/p>\n
